There are no DoDDs schools located on Columbus Air Force Base. Students who live on base attend Franklin Academy. The Columbus Municipal School District has 8 elementary schools for children in Pre-K to 4th grade. Students who live on base and are in the 7th or 8th grade will attend Lee Middle School in Columbus. Bus transportation is provided free of charge to students living one mile from the school. If students living on base are in high school, they will attend Columbus High School for grades 9-12.
